eBROK/CCP-WMO

A BROK© certificate is required for the conduction of WMO research. In order to prepare for the national BROK© examination, several training courses regarding legislation and regulations in clinical research are offered.

All University Medical Centers (UMC's) require that investigators conducting WMO research own a valid BROK© certificate, or obtain it within six months after the initial start of the study.

An important section of the BROK© course is the ICH-GCP the international guideline for Good Clinical Practice – which applies to all clinical trials on medicinal products in Europe, USA and Japan. Basic knowledge on the organization of clinical research is also educatedin various modules. The examination requirements for this course are determined nationwide and approved by the Boards of Directors of all UMC's and main non-academic hospitals (STZ). The participants knowledge will be objectively evaluated by a national, electronic exam and will be awarded with a certificate upon successful completion. Employees who don't bear primary responsibility within the clinical research, the BROK© certificate isn't required, a GCP-WMO course is sufficient.
